Omolade Olubowale
Fellow
Omolade is a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania studying Social Policy, with a focus on social impact, access-oriented programs, and long-term, sustainable change. She holds a B.S. in Legal Studies with a minor in Museum Studies, a background that informs her interdisciplinary approach to equity, culture, and institutional responsibility—particularly through the lens of art as a site where policy, history, economics, and community intersect.
Omolade’s interest in social impact emerged through philanthropy. She began her career as a Development Intern at The Studio Museum in Harlem, where she gained early exposure to fundraising, donor engagement, and the grantee–grantmaker relationship. Shortly thereafter, she served as Outreach Coordinator for a private family foundation with funding priorities of arts and education, where she was introduced to trust-based philanthropy and relationship-driven grantmaking practices.
Prior to returning to graduate school, Omolade worked at Spelman College as Program Coordinator in the Art History and Curatorial Studies Department. In this role, she supported academic programming, partnerships, and initiatives centered on expanding access, increasing exposure, and building pathways for students pursuing careers in the arts. These experiences continue to inform her current work and commitment to designing social impact efforts that move beyond one-off initiatives toward lasting structural outcomes.
