About this Role

We’re currently seeking a team member to deliver exceptional media strategy, content development, and placements. Proficiency in the knowledge of ESG issues and their intersection with current U.S. business growth strategies, are critical for this role. (You love this field and constantly thirst for more information to build your capabilities.) You’ll work with our senior leaders and client teams to craft compelling, issue-focused communications for placement in trade and mainstream publications to drive awareness, positive perceptions, and engagement among stakeholders. You’re a super, strong writer and storyteller, able to mine comprehensive client content for stories, develop persuasive pitches, build relationships with key outlets, and ensure all efforts support our clients’ overall business objectives and success measures.

Salary: $70,000—$90,000, depending on experience and location.

Responsibilities

Client service: Work with account directors in their day-to-day leadership of clients from B2B and B2C industries to build strong working relationships. 


Media relations & placement: Collaborate with our account and client teams to develop story angles, identify media targets, forge relationships with key media contacts and bloggers, and secure high-impact placements.


Project management: Manage complex strategy and communications workstreams at the intersection of purpose, ESG, comms, marketing, organizational development, and philanthropy.


Strategic planning: Help develop annual client plans to support organizational and agency objectives. 


Analysis: Apply rigorous attention to research, data, and metrics to monitor progress, “connect the dots,” and develop meaningful outcomes for clients. 

How You Work

You have 5+ years’ experience in communications, media/PR or other adjacent experience in either an in-house or agency .


You are familiar with  ESG and sustainability issues, ideally in a corporate setting, or within an agency working with corporate clients. 


A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university.


Strong, clear, and precise writer. 


Deadline-oriented.


Ability to communicate visually, especially in PowerPoint/Google Slides.
